Whew! Seems like forever since I've had time to visit good ol' DA again...I miss you guys!

I've been super busy with my job and freelance as well as coming up with ideas and a "mascot" for the personal homepage my boyfriend said he'd make for me. I'm horrible when it comes to that kind of stuff...which is sad since my BFA is in Multi-Media. ;D

I have all these looming deadlines and junk going on so I haven't had the time or energy to do much of ANYTHING! It makes me sad in my pants.

Anyhoo, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive and that no, I HAVEN'T forgotten about DA. :heart:



P.S. Writing a journal is haaaard when you have a cat trying to get your attention!

Oh Em Gee...

What a day! First things first, I'm now "supervisor" of the Production Artists at my job (perhaps permanently...at the very least, until the Senior Production Artist comes back from Maternity leave...it's still up in the air) and I report directly to the Director of Sales! Apparently I've blown away my supervisor with how good I've been doing!

THEN, I find out the guy who's been supervisor of my suite (Operations Support, what-what!) is leaving us to work in a different part of the building. That means, there will not longer be Operations Support so the artists will be all alone in a corner. He's been the best Supervisor EVER so our team is SUPER sad about him leaving.

30 minutes before I leave for the day, I'm told that 2 things need to be fixed ASAP (which are BOTH a pain)...but I can't do them until tomorrow morning (since I'm not supposed to use overtime right now).

After that, I find out  Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon‎, AND Micheal Jackson have all passed away. Not that I'm a huge fan of any of them...but I've known of them since I was SUPER little!

Take about a heck of a day!

I'm on a boat!

No...not really. Especially since I don't own a boat, know anyone with a boat, and can't swim so why then hell would I BE on a boat?

Anyhoo, yes, I'm STILL alive. Just busy. VERY. VERY. BUSY. The senior production artist at my work is on maternity leave for the next 10 weeks leaving us an artist short (there are 3 production artist TOTAL in the entire company) and putting her workload on us means I've got a fell schedual.

BUT, overtime pay makes it all worth it. :heart:

I've also got some projects that should keep me busy until October so I'll still try to visit here as much as I can.

Miss you all! :heart:

I hope everyone had a great Valentines day... I did! Actually, we celebrated it Friday after work since A) it was a pay day and B) because we HATE trying to get in for dinner when we'd have to wait an hour to sit in a crowded restaurant/movie. Sooo, I took my boyfriend out and we went to Chili's for dinner and then to go see Coraline 3D which actually rocked! :3

I've been drawing a lot more recently. Not as much as I used too but I figure the saying "you use it or lose it" might happen if I don't SOOO expect a lot more Sorbet drawings since she's what I've been drawing the most recently since she's such a blasty blast.

Anyhoo, Happy late Valentines Day! :heart:

Geezus, seems like forever since I've posted here!

I've been super busy with work and life so I haven't really been online much lately (or doing more than silly little doodles). The economy is starting to catch up with the place I work and there were recently lay-offs. :/ It's the first time in the company's 25 years that they've had to let people go simple to save money. I have the least amount of tenure of the 3 production artist so I've been stressed. It doesn't help that my boyfriend works there too so we're doubly worried!

I think there's something in the water around here since EVERYONE seems to be pregnant at work. YAY! for them but it's going to be hard to cover for all the people that will be out on maternity leave. XD

My sis and her baby have just moved to Texas to be with her boyfriend. I'm a little worried since it seems her common sense has been a little wonky lately so here's hoping for the best! :aww:

Anyhoo, just wanted to let you know that YES, I'm still alive. Just not super active here and stressed the fudge out. :3 Miss you all and lots of luv! :heart:
